On Fanø, there is great variety in the array of nature experiences; a wide and 16 km long, white beach, plantations with viewpoints and dunes with bogs and small lakes. See the exciting bird nests that are only found on Fanø.
The hiking route on Fanø is a combination of 2 existing routes created by the Danish Nature Agency. The two routes are located on opposite sides of the road that connects the two villages Nordby and Sønderho. The area is part of the Wadden Sea National Park.

The dunes found between Klingebjerg and Annedalsbjerg are assumed to be some of the oldest on Fanø. Moreover, the first house might have been found in an area here called Hovens Dal.
