Ved Trappen on Fanø

In Nordby there are a number of narrow streets called Slipper. They are the original paths between the port and the city.

The oldest part of Nordby was the fishing village Odden, which consisted of a number of houses along the water. Later, the city was expanded to the west and a labyrinthine street network emerged with slipper and paths connecting the houses behind the harbor.

Ved Trappen (At the Staircase) was also originally a slippe, but a staircase was later built at the end of path. There are a number of beautiful Fanø houses along the path, which beautifully frames the view of Nordby harbor.
