The Kåver - Kåveren

In Sønderho on Fanø you will find the 14.5-metre-high bearing mark in its eye-catching red colour.

Denmark's oldest waymark for seafarers, believed to have been erected in 1624, and re-erected in 2011.

18 meters above sea level and worked in historical times as the rear of two landmarks for shipfarers who sailed in between Mandø and Fanø.

Parking for The Kåver can be done at Sønderho old school on Kåvervej or near Sønderho church.
The area around The Kåver is laid out with paths, which must be used in order to spare the area.
